The EU might “respond swiftly and decisively” against what it calls “unjustified” travel bans issued by the United States on five Europeans involved in combating online hate and disinformation, a European Commission spokesperson stated.

EU Officials Decry US Action as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe including Emmanuel Macron accused the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, following the travel bans were placed on individuals that were central to campaigns to introduce laws governing American tech companies.
