Missing key players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding result that virtually secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further victory in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure direct passage to the knockout stages, especially following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Moment
This match provided a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used talent to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, scoring for the second consecutive succession.

The contest was as good as over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past a series of comically weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the visiting side.
